Meditrina Massage Clinic is based in Ely and offers a range of treatments. Sophie is a certified registered Therapist and has recently added a new ‘Cupping’ service to her list of offerings. She wanted to work with me to elevate her branding photography.

Project objectives

The goal of the shoot was to curate a selection of photos to be used across the business’ website, social media and marketing materials, showing Sophie’s professional services and the luxury feel of her work.

The desired outcomes were to:

• Create a range of assets to support social media activity, including promotion of a new ‘cupping’ service
• Highlight Sophie’s welcoming space and expertise as a professional
• Create feelings of luxury, relaxation and healing through the imagery

Creative strategy

• I developed a strategy, which included a moodboard and shoot goals. This was all provided on a shared Notion portal space for easy collaboration with Sophie. We used two models, each of whom had a different treatment, to also promote MMC’s new service, cupping.
• I felt that using deep colour tones would signal a luxury feel. Through soft and warm flash lighting and minimalist styling, I wanted to focus on creating a calming and restorative feeling. I also wanted to incorporate black and white images into the gallery too, in order to signal a timeless luxury.

The photoshoot

• I developed a shoot plan and shot list beforehand to ensure all the key images that Sophie wanted were captured. I then worked organically as Sophie was providing each treatment to capture the best shots possible.
• The shoot lasted 2.5 hours and was shot on-location in the clinic in Ely, Cambrigeshire. I arrived early to set up and ensure Sophie was happy with the shoot plan and felt confident before the models arrived.

What made it special

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sophie at Meditrina Massage Clinic. She is incredibly passionate and skilled in her work which always makes a photoshoot feel effortless. Watching her work reminded me of a ballerina; it was a real privilege.
